I came across this service on Facebook a few months ago when I was desperately looking for a reasonably priced bike rental service in Sydney. As most of you probably know, the prices charged by bike rental shops are constantly increasing. Previously, I also had some negative experiences with rental companies which charged me far too much or were unavailable when I needed help to solve issues with my bike. What I really appreciated about Urban Pedal was the quality of the service: the affordable price, the flexibility and the excellent customer service. The bike was in perfect conditions and Andrea was reliable and careful about everything. Knowing that I could count on someone made the process much easier and the experience more enjoyable. What is the minimum rental?

The minimum rental is one month.

How and when do I pay?

Rent is $60 AUD per week. We accept bank transfer and cash. Your first payment is due on the day we deliver your bike, together with the $200 AUD bond.

When and how do I get my bond back?

The $200 AUD bond is returned on the last day of your rental, by bank transfer or cash, whichever you prefer. We only keep part of it if the bike is damaged.

How much notice do I need to give to return the bike?

Let us know at least two weeks before you want to return it. The one-month minimum rental still applies.

Who pays for damage or theft?

Damage and theft are the rider's responsibility. The bond is not insurance and it does not cap the amount you may have to pay.

Are repairs included?

Repairs for faults caused by normal wear and tear are free. Punctures are paid by the rider. If something goes wrong, message us on WhatsApp: support is available 24/7.

Where do you deliver?

Delivery is free anywhere in Sydney. We can also reach some nearby areas, so send us your address and we will confirm.

How long does the battery take to charge?

A full charge takes about 8 hours, depending on how much charge is left. Every bike comes with its own charger.

What is included?

The e-bike, battery, charger, helmet, lock, delivery bag and rear rack. Delivery is free and support is available 24/7.
